Using Spheros to Navigate Math and Science TEKS

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This workshop will combine STEM with Math and Science curriculum. We will teach participants to code using Spheros to navigate through 2 Math and 2 Science courses to complete tasks at designated areas on the course. We will use coordinate planes and geometry for the Math TEKS and space and ecosystems for the Science TEKS. Participants will collaborate with each other to develop other concepts that can be used in a similar way. Some other concepts that could be taught using the "Sphero Scavenger Hunt" technique could include the Science processing skills, rock cycle, force and motion, energy transformations, food chains, human body systems, cell structures, atomic structure. For Math, the technique could be used to teach integers, geometry and measurement, volume and surface area, triangles, angles, and slope. (We are Curious)
